Challenges of Communications Literacy: Discernment and Conduct in a Digital World

The Media Development Authority of Singapore and the International Institute of Communications (IIC) will jointly host a communications literacy seminar  on 5 October 2012 in Singapore. An international panel will share insights and their experiences in developing programmes that promote responsible online behaviour, the ability to evaluate information in the digital world and discuss approaches for measuring communications literacy. What is the IIC?

The International Institute of Communications is an independent non-profit global membership organization devoted to the study of policy and regulatory issues in the communications and media industries worldwide. With a centralized Secretariat based in London, IIC has 6 separate national chapters around the world. It organizes leading international conferences including the IIC Annual Conference, the IIC International Regulators Forum, and the IIC Telecommunications and Media Forum series. In addition, it publishes the leading digital policy journal, Intermedia.
